Tasting Notes: Appearance: Dense and deep dark red. Nose: Majestic. Sarsaparilla display, nuances of creamy soda beer/cola root, synergy with black licorice and soy. A 17 month stay in 100% new oak is definitely well hidden. Archetypal northern Barossa fruits link all Shiraz variants. Palate: Once it opens, black currant, blackberry, rhubarb, quince rises. They are followed by black olive, vanilla, bitumen, cola, coffee ristretto with oak. Strong, pronounced tannins, formidable structure, with impressive length and weight.
